Chamber Of Commerce Taking
Entries In Rodeo Queen Event
It may be hot or cold.....windy and dirty.....or
rainy and muddy.....
It makes no difference what the weather may be,
there's always fun and excitement for those in the 101 Ranch Rodeo
queen contest.
The young women are always "in on everything."
They have places of honor in the parade.....they are
introduced in the arena to the cheering of thousands of
spectators.....they ride in the forefront of the colorful grand
entry each evening.
All roundup clubs in North Central Oklahoma and
Southern Kansas are invited to enter queen candidates, says
Bethel Freeman, president of the Ponca City Rodeo Foundation.
Entries in the contest are now being received at the
Ponca City Chamber of Commerce. Persons desiring more information
may contact the chamber.
Members of the Ponca City Business and Professional
Women's Club will serve as the hostess group for the contestants.
All details of special activities are to be worked out at a meeting
of the club this evening and will be announced later.
Mrs. Neita Rogers and Mrs. Juanita Herron are
co-chairmen of the club's personal development committee, which is
charged with carrying out the plans.

ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS of the 101 Ranch Rodeo queen contest
always is the luncheon honoring the young women seeking the title.
At the luncheon they will have an opportunity to meet and visit with
the guest star, an outstanding western entertainment personality.
